As Good As Vietnam Gets
Rowing Among The Wonders Of Halong Bay At Sunset
If you have seen the movie Indochine (1992) starring Catherine Deneuve, the images of junks and small boats sailing on picturesque Halong Bay are probably burned in your memory. Adorned with thousands of limestone karsts of all shapes and sizes, this UNESCO World Heritage site was listed as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the world in 2012.
From the deck of a luxurious Paradise cruise to the top of Ti Top Mountain, there are many great places from which to take in the magic of Halong Bay. But the best may just be from a kayak or even traditional basket boat (called thung chai), at sunset, as evidenced by this beautiful moment captured in 2008 by Polish photographer Rafal Ziejewski.
